Diagnostic imaging appearance of canine gastric leiomyomas: Four cases

Gastric leiomyoma (GL) is an uncommon benign neoplasm found in older dogs and generally identified as incidental finding. The purpose of this paper to describe the imaging appearance GL different diagnostic modalities (radiography [XR], ultrasonography [US] computed tomography [CT]). All three revealed a mass arising within gastric wall, radiopaque on XR, hypoechoic US isoattenuating CT, with intralesional radiopaque/hyperechoic/hyperattenuating foci, respectively. CT are sensitive proved very useful diagnosis type neoplasia, identifying location, extent before surgical treatment. should be considered possible presence dystrophic mineralisation mass.
